Insights
Blink Charging expands its South Florida network through a new partnership with Accesso, strengthening its owned-and-operated business model.
Blink Charging's new partnership with Accesso represents a strategic expansion of its Blink-owned charging network in the South Florida commercial real estate market. The company will deploy its Series 7 Level 2 chargers at two significant properties: the 240,000 square-foot Sawgrass Lake Center office facility in Sunrise and the 100,000 square-foot Atrium at Broken Sound mixed-use development in West Boca.
This deployment follows Blink's owner-operator business model, where the company maintains ownership of the charging infrastructure rather than just selling hardware. This approach typically generates recurring revenue streams through charging fees while building long-term infrastructure assets on the balance sheet.
The strategic placement at these properties is noteworthy - Sawgrass Lake Center benefits from proximity to the high-traffic Sawgrass Mills Mall, while the Atrium at Broken Sound's mixed-use environment (housing, hospitality, retail) creates diverse charging opportunities beyond typical workday usage. Both locations will serve employees, tenants, and visitors, creating multiple potential revenue streams throughout different times of day.
For property owner Accesso, these installations align with corporate sustainability initiatives while providing an increasingly valuable amenity that can help attract and retain tenants as EV adoption continues to grow in Florida. The deal demonstrates Blink's continued focus on commercial real estate partnerships as a key growth vector for its charging network.
