In this new role, Paris will be responsible for leading the Primary Casualty product line across Canada, working closely with technical and field underwriting teams to deliver on established profit targets and support sustainable expansion. Parisbrings a wealth of experience in casualty underwriting and strategic portfolio management, having held leadership positions at several Canadian carriers. Most recently, he served as AVP Middle Market Casualty at Berkeley Canada, where he drove profitable growth through thoughtful strategy and focused execution. With more than 20 years of commercial underwriting experience, Parisbrings deep expertise across casualty lines, with a focus on product and participant liability, and general liability, umbrella, excess, and specialty covers, such as abuse liability, where Markel is a market leader. Having led strategies for global programs in manufacturing and specialty trades, he's also worked closely with environmental lines to deliver tailored general liability solutions for environmental consultants and trades.
